Web Design

Developing a web site is much more complicated than handing a set of wishes and a logo to a designer. At 0&1, our web development staff uses Rapid Application Development (RAD) methods to speed the design process and keep the focus on our customer’s vision.

Storyboarding
We start by storyboarding each page of the web site, from the introductory home page to the most specific corners of the site. In this process, we collect ideas from the customer for layout, images, colors, fonts, features, and dislikes. We also discuss content and feasibility of what works or does not work on the Internet. Now, when we start to build your site, we know as much as you about the vision for the web site.

Content Development
Once the framework and storyboarding are completed, we begin to collect content for the site. We collect data, documents, or other materials along with database content, if required, for incorporation into the web site. Our staff technical writer develops or edits content for the site based on interviews, notes, and researched material or other sources.

Graphic Development
Graphic development occurs in-house alongside the content development. Imported graphics from outside sources, such as digital photos or scanned images, are digitally edited and modified for web site use. Our digital camera also enables us to further personalize our clients’ web sites.

Database Connectivity
Our interactive sites, driven by MySQL or SQL Server databases, are designed to meet your data management needs. The web site connection to the database is created using ASP .Net, PHP, JSP or Cold Fusion.

An integral part of our web site development process is regular reviews of the site with the client as it progresses through the design process. This review procedure not only keeps our client informed as to the progress of the site, but it also provides our web development team with an opportunity to refine and revise the development of the site. In the end, this helps us create exactly the site that you want.
